Illuminatrice des Géorgiens, lyre de l'Esprit,

Sainte-Nina, prie le Christ notre Dieu

Prayer to St Nina (St Nino)

 

O handmaid of the Word of God,

Who in preaching hast equaled the first-called Apostle Andrew,

And hast emulated the other Apostles;

O enlightener of Iberia and reed-pipe of the Holy Spirit,

Holy Nino, equal to the Apostles:

Pray to Christ God to save our souls

 

 

or

 

As minister of the word of God in apostolic preaching,

You equaled Andrew the first-called and the rest of the Apostles.

Enlightener of Georgia and instruments of the Holy Spirit,

Holy Nina, equal to the Apostles, entreat Christ God

That our souls may be saved.
